Step 2 – What Do You Require?

Watch the video above to continue your journey.

What do you want?     What do you desire?

To Dos:

  1. To find out how you respond to expectations (outer and inner), take the Four Tendencies Quiz
  2. Make a LIST OF REQUIREMENTS – this list of requirements would help you feel good throughout the day. Figure out what those would be.

I have to admit, I love to sleep, and I decided that if I didn’t need money I COULD sleep all day. But, that would not be fair to my beloved, my dog or my duties. So I decided I had to have a reason to get out of bed in the mornings.

Accountability to other people would help me achieve my 1st requirement. Having other people depend on me could be in the form of a job, an exercise program, meeting a friend/group for a morning ritual… something and anything to get me out of bed in the morning.

2nd requirement: Work by myself and on a team

I found I like to work by myself (so I can work at my own pace) and have a partner/team to back me up, help me out, bounce things off, and just have a good time with.

3rd requirement: Able to use machines

Machines help to make life more efficient – and I LOVE efficiency. I also like the complexities of machines. It makes me feel important when my fingers zip over, tap, click and type on the keyboard or touchscreen. Some parts of computers are intuitive and I just know what to do and which direction to go in. Computers have so many levels, back doors, software, and programs. They seem almost magical in a way. Who doesn’t want to play in a world of magic?

4th and 5th requirement: Cooking fresh homemade dinners

In my previous sales job, I left my house at 9am and arrived back home at 10pm; working an 11 hour day. I couldn’t leave the building (as I was the only one there), they didn’t have a fridge or microwave; so I had to bring a lunch that could be left out (sandwiches, or Raman noodles cooked on my car dashboard in the heat of a Tennessee summer). So, one of the requirements I looked forward to was being able to stop by the market on my way home (while the sun was still up) to pick up fresh food for dinner. I also found I enjoy cooking, which easily helped me make requirement #5. Cooking and creating recipes and dinners were a joy. I could just put on some music and put together that evening’s meal and enjoy. Recently, I found YouTube videos of nature seasides with waves crashing or forests with streams and birds – mmmm, just lovely.

6th requirement: Dance

Tips and Tricks

Be happy, where you are

I know the world is going on around me, but it does not have to have an effect on me. I choose how words and situations affect me and how I am going to respond.

I draw a circle, in the air, around the  top of my head reminding  me…

I am co-creator
of my world.

I like to listen to music; did you know it raises your vibrational frequency? And dancing a jig, shaking my bootie, and getting my groove on during the day definitely makes me happy at work. In between clients, while I am cleaning the room, just a good wigglebutt session puts a smile on my face and lifts my spirits.

7th requirement: Get to wear comfortable clothes

I prefer to wear comfortable clothes or have a uniform with variety. So, I chose to wear different and fun scrubs. I get to wear a type of uniform and it is not the exact same thing every day. I can transform daily; based on my moods, holidays or my laundry needs. Scrubs are the closest things to sweats I have found and styles offer outfits to hug your curves or fit boxy and loose.

8th and 9th requirement: Passionate subject and movability.

The medical field is fascinating and I love biology, physiology and how things work; but I get queasy around blood and guts. So, I would have to choose wisely and with precision. Plus working in the medical field would allow me freedom to move around or sit to take care of paperwork. I didn’t want to settle for sitting all day or standing till I felt like dropping. Most of my choices allow “both” not just “either/or” scenarios.

10threquirement: Time off when I want it.

Nights and weekends off – would allow me the time to enjoy hobbies, getting housework done, outside adventures, and holidays – being able to spend time with other people who are enjoying those times away from work as well. LIFE

EVERY DAY I get to have or do these 10 things that I know make me happy.

Daily, I show gratitude for the blessings in my life.

It is time for you to find out what makes you happy

and incorporate THAT – that which makes you smile,

puts a skip in your step and a flutter into your heart – into your life.

Every. Single. Day.
